Terms of Service
Terms for using this website and working with GeoIntel Works
These terms explain how website inquiries, quotes, project data, payment, and deliverables are handled. A signed proposal, statement of work, invoice, or written project agreement controls if it conflicts with these website terms.
Website use
The website is provided for business information, sample review, and project inquiries. Do not use it to submit unlawful material, data you are not authorized to share, or highly sensitive regulated data through the general contact form.
Free fit check
A free fit check is a preliminary review of project fit, likely scope, data readiness, and next-step pricing. It does not include GIS analysis, maps, model review, investment advice, legal advice, or a formal report.
Quotes and paid work
Paid work begins only after the scope, deliverables, timeline, price, data request, and payment terms are confirmed in writing.
GeoIntel Works may decline projects that are outside its expertise, too broad for the available data, or not suitable for a one-person consulting engagement.
Payment
Payment is handled through invoice, payment link, ACH or bank transfer, card payment through a processor, or another written arrangement. The website does not directly collect card details.
Small fixed-scope projects may require full payment before work begins. Larger or custom projects may require a deposit and a final balance before final delivery. Payment processor fees, bank fees, taxes, and third-party data costs may be handled separately if stated in the quote.
Client responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing accurate project context, usable data, legal rights to share the data, timely feedback, and any business, legal, regulatory, financial, engineering, environmental, or real-estate judgment required for the final decision.
Clients should keep their own backup copies of all submitted files. GeoIntel Works is not responsible for errors, delays, or unsuitable conclusions caused by inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, late, or unauthorized client-supplied information.
Confidentiality and client data
Client project information is treated as confidential and used only for project evaluation, scoping, delivery, invoicing, and necessary business records.
Client files are not sold, shared for advertising, or used to train public or third-party AI models. Project-specific confidentiality terms or NDA language can be added when needed.
Deliverables and limitations
Deliverables may include PDFs, maps, source notes, spreadsheets, code notes, model-review comments, or other files listed in the agreed scope.
GIS reports, site-selection memos, mineral or environmental screening, and model reviews are professional decision-support materials. They do not guarantee business performance, investment results, permitting outcomes, mineral discovery, environmental compliance, regulatory approval, funding approval, lease terms, or market demand.
Public, licensed, and client-supplied datasets can contain gaps, timing issues, classification differences, or measurement error. A deliverable will state major assumptions and limitations when they affect interpretation.
Intellectual property
Clients retain ownership of the data and materials they provide. After full payment, clients may use the agreed final deliverables for their internal business purposes unless the project agreement says otherwise.
GeoIntel Works retains ownership of its general methods, templates, tools, workflows, know-how, and reusable non-client-specific materials.
Revisions and acceptance
Revision rounds are defined in the written quote, invoice, or project agreement. If not specified, revisions are limited to reasonable clarifications and corrections within the original scope; new analysis, new sites, new datasets, new audiences, or changed business questions may require a new quote.
Unless a written agreement says otherwise, clients should report any material issue with a deliverable within seven calendar days after delivery. If no issue is reported during that period, the deliverable may be treated as accepted for project-closeout purposes.
Cancellation and refund policy
Because GeoIntel Works sells professional analysis time, reserved project capacity, and custom deliverables, paid fees are generally not refundable after work has begun.
If a client cancels before work begins, GeoIntel Works may refund unused prepaid amounts, minus payment-processing fees, bank fees, third-party data purchases, and any completed scoping, preparation, administrative, or scheduling work.
If a client cancels after work begins, completed work, reserved time, scoping calls, rush fees, custom data purchases, and third-party costs are non-refundable. GeoIntel Works may, at its discretion, refund or credit only the clearly unused portion of prepaid work.
No refund is owed because the analysis does not support the client's preferred outcome, because a business opportunity is not pursued, because public or client data is limited, or because a third party such as a lender, investor, landlord, regulator, or grant reviewer makes a different decision.
If GeoIntel Works cancels a project or determines it cannot deliver the agreed scope for reasons not caused by the client, the practical remedy is a revised scope, credit, or refund of the unused portion of fees paid for undelivered work.
Project-specific quotes or signed agreements may set different cancellation, refund, milestone, or acceptance rules. Those written project terms control.
Delays and paused projects
If required data, access, feedback, or approvals are delayed, the timeline may move. If a client does not respond for more than thirty days, GeoIntel Works may close or pause the project and may require a new schedule, updated quote, or reactivation fee to restart.
Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, GeoIntel Works is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, lost-profit, investment, financing, permitting, or business-interruption damages arising from website use or project deliverables.
Where liability cannot be excluded, GeoIntel Works' total liability for a project is limited to the amount the client paid for the specific project giving rise to the claim, unless a signed written agreement says otherwise.
Disputes and written records
Clients should raise billing, delivery, or quality concerns promptly by email so the issue can be reviewed against the written quote, invoice, scope, data supplied, and delivered files. Written project records control over informal conversations unless both sides agree otherwise in writing.
